This project was larger then the photos really show. We developed a full plan for the property including designing and permitting a major retaining wall. The back 12' of the property was on the steep slope on the outside of a short site wall. This section of the property had basically been unusable space since the home was originally built. By adding a large footing and retaining wall with a nice view fence and column detail we were able to almost double the use-able space of the backyard drastically transforming the space and adding a lot of value to the property. This hillside lot had tons of potential but many of the great features and viewsheds were lost. By expanding the backyard we were able to open up some visual cooridors into downtown Phoenix. As the landscape matures over time the beauty and appeal of this space should only improve.
